Method of preparation. Soak white whole urad dal for atleast 2 hours. Grind it to a thick, fluffy, smooth batter using minimal water. To it add rice flour, soda powder, pepper corns, chopped shallots, chopped green chillies, grated ginger, chopped curry leaves and salt. Mix well. Heat oil in a pan. Wet fingers and take a small scoop of the batter.
